It had a good flow and rhythm to it that made it easy to get into the story from the get-go. There were some lines that that confused me at first and caused me to backtrack in order to understand those. The way you set up the story was well executed: rather than jumping in and saying "Hi, I'm Augustus Gloop," you built it up. The story is not about Augustus, but his disorder.
